After turning ON the massager by holding down the button for 3-5 seconds, wait till you hear a beep. When turned on, first click the "M" or Mode button on the remote to activate the massage. Then increase the intensity by clicking the "+" button (recommend clicking 5-10 times).

Each time you click a button on the remote you should hear a "beep" that indicates the remote and device are communicating properly.

Every time you switch massage modes by clicking the "M" button, it will reset the strength settings to ZERO so you must click the "+" button to increase the intensity of the massage.
